How many groups of ten make 100?

Charli the super star had an important job to do

Yesterday we had 10 bundles of 10 straws. 

We had to put them together to make one big bundle of 100 straws.

WOW

It was a special day because there had been 100 school days at Papakowhai this year.

What is a Pet?

Yesterday we sorted pictures of animals.
We decided to sort them into animals that live in the wild and animals that are pets.
We discovered that some of the animals could be both.

How will you answer the question, 

"What is a pet?"

Art on Friday

On Friday we created our artworks using mixed media.
We used pastel, chalk, paint and glitter.
We used pastel to make a circle and then we drew around the circle with different coloured chalk.
Using our finger as a tool, we blended the pastel and chalk together.
We added sparkle by using glitter in the centre of each circle.
Lastly we used a paintbrush to splatter white paint onto the black background.

 Rata were awesome performers 

and I think we taught the school a lot about Day and Night, too.
