 At the start of MOOT we sing waiata with Mrs. Janes. We do actions too.
The sandpit is fun on sunny days. 
Some of us were making Porirua Harbour and the taniwha Awarua.
Our MOOT stars Respect each other and our equipment.
It is fun to share our news with each other on a Friday morning.
 Reid showed us the biggest dragonfly we had ever seen!
 We looked with a magnifying glass at the patterns on the wings and body.

Storm's mum made these special labels to put on his school books.

 Jasper drew this picture from his reading book and wrote the story, too.

Tēnā Koutou Katoa.
Welcome to Papakowhai School.
Thank you for coming to our Powhiri this morning.
 Mr. Kairua helped us practise our waiata, Te Aroha.
 We heard the karanga and came into the hall.
 We listened to some speeches.
 The KapaHaka group led the school in waiata to welcome us.
It was a very special morning.

The superstar of the day goes with the compost monitors to empty our compost bucket.


On Tuesday we practised our emergency drills.
We stayed calm and listened to the teacher for instructions.
In an earthquake we know how to stop, drop, cover and hold.
Rata Block come together at the end.
