Look closely at Mealworms with us...

Kayla brought these mealworms to school.
They eat oats.
We put them into a container with lots of room and holes so they can get air to breathe.
We wonder if the worms will change into something else?

Rata Rua are learning to be Entomologists.

Thebutterflysite.com  explained the changes we have seen...
When the butterfly came out of the chrysalis it's wings were soft and folded against it's body.
The butterfly pumps blood into it's wings to get them working.
They flap their wings to dry them and then they can fly.

We are proud of our caterpillar art...
