Haere Atu in Action

Lots of parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters came to watch our school production.
We were so excited, a little bit scared, shy but happy.
We were amazing. We loved it.

Garden Club

Some of us have joined the Garden Club.
On Friday we planted two of our new gardens.
We used some of the lovely compost we have made at school to fill the strawberry barrel.

Join us for Morning Tea onThursday

At the start of our reading time at school, we share a big book together.
Each day of the week we look closely at the story.
We notice special details in the illustrations.
We talk about the words the author used and why.
We look at the punctuation marks that help us to read the story so it sounds more like talking.
We decided to read one of our big books for the show.

It is a fun story and we hope you will enjoy watching us tell it for you.
We can't post any pictures of what we are doing because that would spoil the surprise!

See you on Thursday.

The Crayon Box That Talked

At MOOT on Friday we practiced being tolerant.
We were patient with each other, helped each other and respected our differences.
Although we are all different, we help each other and get along together.
 We had some new equipment...
We designed a jungle for monkeys to 'hang' together.
 Congratulations to our MOOT Stars!

Vibrating Bugs

Last term Ian's dad came and helped us make a vibrating bug.
It was lots of fun.
We explored and made the circuit so our bug moved when we turned on the motor.
