M.O.O.T. on PhotoPeach
We are great at managing our own time.
We completed lots of activities today.
We did another experiment with bread.
Have you ever painted bread with coloured milk
and then toasted it?
It looks and tastes great!
Just like the Little Red Hen, we planted alfalfa seeds today.
We hope they sprout!
Some of us made puppets so we could act out 'The Little Red Hen.'

We solved a maths problem...
We highlighted the important information.
We worked out what we had to find out.
We knew what to do.
We chose a partner to work with.
We used equipment to help us.
We put buttons on the cats.
Each cat needed 4 buttons.
We counted all the buttons we had used.
We got 16 buttons.
We know Pete's mum needs to buy 16 buttons for her 4 little cats.
Cameron, what if the little cats need 5 buttons each for their jackets?
Mum cat will need 20 buttons.
Great counting in 5's!
Matilda's Crystals
Matilda has made these beautiful crystals.
She told us all about it.
We think they are...
Beautiful
Shiny
Cold
Solid
Colourful
Kind of like diamonds
Sparkly.
We watched the video that showed Matilda how to make her crystals.
Thank you for sharing it with us.

Welcome Back to School for Term Two
We are excited to have four new faces in Rata Rua.
A big welcome to Amelie, Jenna, Cody and Emily.
That's right, we have two lovely girls called Emily in our class now.
We practiced a special way of sharing our ideas. It is called 'Turn and Talk.'
We shared ideas with our partner on the best place to take a new class photo for our blog.

We shared ideas with our partner on the best place to take a new class photo for our blog.
We had lots of ideas.
After we had voted for our favourite suggestion, we had 15 tally marks on the whiteboard.
The rainbow was our favourite place but...
click
we didn't get a very good photo.
We will have to try again.
On our way back to the classroom, we took this photo to show how much our garden plants have grown.
